Kim Komando recommends several. Registry Mechanic is very good. Go to her site to download. Be sure to use her coupon codes if you purchase the software.

there is a light weight registry cleaner… CC Cleaner…. i use it quite often and i have seen some difference… registry cleaner is a heavy duty one… it thoroughly scans each and every key and removes unwanted stuff…. use it only if you need to. ie if you have a problem on your computer and you think that its something to do with registy… other wise use the light weight ones…

Look on techguy.org/. They recommend that you never use one, cause you can actually delete registry items.

I’ve been using Ace Utilities for 6 years. I love it. Its worth the $29.95. There is a 30 day trial to see if you like it. Its safe and even has its own restore similar to windows restore. It does a lot of everything. It works in conjunction with Startup Guard. I also recommend the Startup Guard (FREE) and Tweak N Tune (FREE).
To the left are the free ones in Freeware.

Registry Mechanic.
But it is not free. CCleaner is a free alternative and it is OK.
